CONVERGING: 1st GA Meeting
The first General Assembly meeting of the CONVERGING project was held in Turin, Italy, on April 4th, 2023. The meeting was hosted by Prima Additive, one of the project partners, at their premises. The aim of the meeting was to bring together all the partners of the project, review the progress made so far, and plan for future activities.
The meeting began with a warm welcome speech by the project coordinator, Mr. Nikos Dimitropoulos, who presented the agenda of the meeting and had a crucial role of the prosecution of the meeting. Engaging presentations by the consortium and fruitful discussions took place during the meeting, exchanging ideas and suggestions for future directions. The partners shared the progress made so far in their respective fields of expertise, covering various aspects of the project.
One of the main topics of discussion was the need of participation in future events in order to disseminate the project's results to a wider audience highlighting the need of participation in public events to showcase the project's achievements and raise awareness of the potential of additive manufacturing and artificial intelligence in industry. During the meeting, the host company Prima Additive gave the partners a tour of their premises. The tour was an opportunity for the partners to see firsthand the advanced technologies and machinery used in additive manufacturing. The tour was highly informative, and the partners were impressed by the state-of-the-art facilities and the expertise of the Prima Additive team.
Overall, the first General Assembly meeting of the CONVERGING project was a success, with engaging presentations, fruitful discussions, and an informative tour of the host company's premises. The project is still in its early stages, but the impact of the CONVERGING project will be great and will contribute to the advancement of additive manufacturing and artificial intelligence in Europe and beyond.
