Human-Centered Robotics Meets Simulation Intelligence at Automatica 2025
From 24 to 27 June 2025, the CONVERGING project proudly participated in Automatica 2025 in Munich—one of Europe’s leading trade fairs for smart automation and robotics. Hosted at Visual Components’ booth (Hall B5, Booth 402), the project showcased how simulation and digital twin technologies are driving the future of human-robot collaboration in smart manufacturing environments.

At the heart of the showcase was the AI Digital Twin (AIDT) module, developed by Visual Components as a key component of the CONVERGING digital architecture. Built on Visual Components 4.0, the AIDT enables:
-
Virtual representations of shop floors, facilitating early testing and validation
-
Integration with planning and ML/AI frameworks, allowing real-time responsiveness
-
Differentiable digital twins, enabling simulation and AI to co-evolve for smarter automation
-
Real-time control and interoperability through MQTT protocols and Asset Administration Shell (AAS) standards
During the event, live demonstrations offered visitors an inside look at how the AIDT module powers simulation libraries, enhances virtual commissioning, and supports seamless integration within CONVERGING’s broader data and robotics ecosystem.
The presentation drew strong interest from industry stakeholders, researchers, and innovators, highlighting CONVERGING’s unique approach to developing adaptive, human-centered robotic systems through digital innovation.
